Q1. Can the Manual Vacuum Pump be connected to the hose?

No, please do not connect the hose to the manual vacuum pump. The manual vacuum pump can be used directly on the jar sealer, as shown in the main picture 4 in the link. Forcing them to be used together will affect the tightness and destroy the silicone ring in the middle of the manual vacuum pump, significantly reducing its lifespan.

Q2. Why does my manual vacuum pump not work?

Please pay attention to the following points when using the manual vacuum pump: (1) The holes of the manual vacuum pump and the jar sealer should be aligned. (2) Hold the manual vacuum pump so that its hole firmly presses the hole of the jar sealer, forming a channel to isolate the external air and effectively pump air and seal. (3) If you feel that pumping is difficult, you can stop pumping. If unsuccessful at first, try pumping several times to improve the sealing performance.

Q3. Why does the lid also pop up when I pull out the jar sealer? Or why is the lid not sticking to the mason jar?

(1) Before pumping the mason jar, keep its mouth dry and clean. (2) You can loosen the jar sealer a little before pulling it out, and then slowly and vertically pull it out while rotating. If you have tried multiple times and it still doesn't seal, you may need to try another lid.

Q4. Which FoodSaver models are not compatible with the HiFan Jar Vacuum Sealer Kit?

The HiFan Jar Vacuum Sealer Kit is not compatible with the following FoodSaver models: FFS005-033, FM1100, FM2000, FM2100, FM2500, FM2900, FM4800, FM4900, FM5800, VS220, VS0100, VS0150, VS0160, VS1120, VS1130.

Q5. Why can't the connector of the Accessory Hose be inserted?

Don't worry, the Accessory Hose Connector does not need to be fully inserted. Just make sure that it stays stable in the hole of the jar sealer and vacuum sealer. Some space is reserved for our Accessory Hose Connector, which is suitable for more models of FoodSaver. Different FoodSaver series have different calibers of air exhaust holes, some larger and some smaller.
